Salary Specifics:
Compensation is RVU based with a range of $110,000 - $150,000.

We are looking for experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, PMHNPs for "SNF-ists," in-house nurse practitioners that will provide care for the geriatric population in a Skilled Nursing and/or Assisted Living setting.
Primary Responsibilities:

Act as a Skilled Nursing Facility's leading provider of internal medicine services.
Collaborate with the facility's interdisciplinary team and physicians.
Serve as a day-to-day clinical leader while helping oversee the care of all residents.
Work with the entire facility's patient population - short and long-term residents.
Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments.
Provide monthly stability visits for long term residents.
Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients.
Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures.
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
Communicate with attending physicians and/or specialists regarding patient care.
Be comfortable and proficient with documentation and CPT coding.
Provide evaluations for patients exhibiting changes in condition.
Advanced care planning.
Oversee residents day-to-day care with the assistance of the facility's nursing staff and guidance from the facility's medical directors and attending physicians.
Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease.

Requirements:.

Master's Degree Required
Must hold certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the state of North Carolina
Must have an active license and DEA #
Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
Minimum one-year experience in a Skilled Nursing setting (preferred)
Ability to build rapport with patients and their loved ones.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership experience with emphasis on teamwork in a healthcare setting
