About the Job: Psychiatrist – Child and Adolescent We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist specialized in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to join our hospital based in downtown Chicago. This role involves providing top-notch psychiatric care within an In-Patient & Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) setting, focusing on children and adolescents. Working in a dynamic environment, this full-time position offers a Monday through Friday work schedule with calls by telephone only, eliminating the need for in-person rounding. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct daily rounding and manage admissions for child and adolescent patients. Provide ongoing daily care for assigned patients, monitoring progress and making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary. Lead multidisciplinary treatment teams, coordinating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care. Engage with patients and their families to discuss treatment plans and progress. Ensure all care provided aligns with the highest standards and compliance with hospital protocols. Participate in the development of treatment protocols, and contribute to the broader goals of the psychiatric department. Respond to psychiatric emergencies and provide guidance on crisis interventions. Minimum Position Qualifications: Medical Degree (MD) in Psychiatry. Valid and active medical license in the state of Illinois. Board Certified/Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Minimum 3 years of experience in a psychiatric setting with child and adolescent patients. Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of psychiatric conditions effectively. Exceptional communication skills, with proficiency in building rapport with young patients and their families. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in both inpatient and PHP settings. Proficient in the latest psychiatric practices and technological tools. Strong leadership abilities and experience in team management. History of published research or presentations in child and adolescent psychiatry. Training in behavioral therapy techniques specific to younger populations. Skills: Strong clinical skills with a focus on child and adolescent psychiatry. Excellent crisis management and decision-making abilities. Proficient in the use of medical software and digital tools for treatment management. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
