Multidisciplinary teams are composed of Psychiatrists, Advanced Practice Nurses, hospitalists, nurses, social workers, and addiction specialists - all focused on the goal of completing a comprehensive evaluation of your condition and needs, stabilizing your immediate crisis, and preparing for your return home and continued outpatient care.
Responsibilities Provision of full range of psychiatric services to assigned patients, including direct care, assessment, screening, diagnosis, and treatment. Psychiatrist will prescribe medication as necessary and provide medication management services, with all services documented in the patient's electronic medical record.Analyze and evaluate patient data and test findings to diagnose the nature and extent of mental disorder.Prescribe, direct, and administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.Collaborate with other clinicians to discuss treatment plans and progress.Gather and maintain patient information and records, including social and medical history obtained from patients, relatives, and other professionals.Examine or conduct laboratory or diagnostic tests on patients to provide information on general physical condition and mental disorder.Subject to on-call responsibilities as assigned.Comply with employee standards of Center for Family Guidance, PC, including maintaining a working environment consistent with professional responsibilities and timely notification of supervisory personnel regarding absences.All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be licensed as a psychiatrist in the state of New Jersey; designation as Forensic Evaluator preferred.Experience in providing services in inpatient/outpatient environments.Experience in providing services in a correctional environment preferred.Must possess good interpersonal communication and leadership skills.Must be able to interact with institutional staff, medical staff, and the agencies of the court.Must complete a satisfactory background investigation.
