St. Michael's is looking for a Psychiatrist to join our team of valued and quality driven providers. Saint Michael's Medical Center provides behavioral health services in two areas: our Behavioral Health Unit and Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment. Collaborate with a well-established group of experts and staff at a physician-owned organization.Connect with engaged, accessible leadership who have clinical backgrounds.Enjoy flexible schedules with lower caseloads and no micromanagement.Get on-the-job mentoring and training to advance your career.Contribute your ideas and feedback to innovate our programs and services.Make a positive impact on the lives of patients and their families.Responsibilities Provision of full range of psychiatric services to assigned patients including assessment, screening, diagnosis, and treatment.Prescribe medication and provide medication management services, documenting all in the patient's electronic medical record.Analyze and evaluate patient data and test findings to diagnose mental disorders.Collaborate with other clinicians to discuss treatment plans and progress.Gather and maintain patient information and records from various sources.Conduct laboratory or diagnostic tests on patients to provide information on their condition.Subject to on-call responsibilities as assigned.Comply with employee standards of Center for Family Guidance, PC.All other duties as assigned.Qualifications Must be licensed as a psychiatrist in the state of New Jersey, designated Forensic Evaluator preferred.Experience in providing services in inpatient/outpatient environments.Experience in providing services in a correctional environment preferred.Good interpersonal communication and leadership skills.Able to interact with institutional staff, medical staff, and court agencies.Must complete a satisfactory background investigation.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
