Position Title: The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity for a Psychiatrist within the Montana State Hospital. The Montana State Hospital (MSH) in Warm Springs provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness. MSH is the only public psychiatric hospital in Montana that serves people admitted from communities across the state. Job Overview: The role collaborates with leaders from multiple disciplines to enhance staff knowledge, skills, and abilities critical for high performance. This position provides diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric inpatients through supervision of multidisciplinary treatment teams, direct service psychotherapy-chemotherapy, and preparation of psychiatric-legal evaluations and reports.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity: Ability to make a positive impact on an organization through the development and management of superior staff development programs.Knowledge of the impact staff development has on an organization and how workplace culture often begins with training.Knowledge of theories and best practices in adult learning and skill in the use of techniques and methods for ensuring the transfer of training.Skill in researching and developing training program content, training materials, and learning aids.The ability to coach and motivate others to improve their knowledge or skills.Formal residency training as a psychiatrist yielding demonstrated competence in medical treatment.Must be currently licensed to practice medicine in the State of Montana.
