Psychiatrist, Inpatient, Brooklyn

NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is looking for a Board Eligible/Board Certified in-patient Psychiatrist. Both new graduates and experienced psychiatrists are encouraged to apply.

The Inpatient Staff Psychiatrist will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary clinical team providing high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric treatments to patients. The inpatient service provides comprehensive assessments and individually tailored treatment plans for individuals with a wide range of mental illnesses from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. The psychiatrist will collaborate with unit-based nurses, social workers, pharmacists, psychologists, primary care physician's assistants, and primary case hospitalists. The inpatient staff psychiatrist will contribute to inpatient case conferences and departmental initiatives under the supervision of the Service Chief of Psychiatry.

NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, located in Prospect Park, is a 651-bed academic institution, academically affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, caring for residents throughout Brooklyn and the surrounding communities for over 135 years. The hospital's academic programs include nine graduate medical education residency programs and six fellowship programs.

The salary range for this position is $300k to $330k. This compensation range does not include our amazing benefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures and productivity, that may be applicable to this role.

The selected candidate will be eligible for academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College. Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and credentials.
