Springfield Behavioral, part of the Optum family of businesses is seeking a Psychiatrist - MD or DO to join our team in North Wales, PA. Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live. As a member of the Optum Behavioral Care Team, you'll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone. As a Psychiatrist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and prescribing medications for behavioral health and psychological disorders. This is an outpatient clinical environment where you will interact directly with patients.
Primary Responsibilities: Provide direct clinical services to patients in the form of psychosocial assessments, individual, family, and group treatmentConduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations and provide ongoing medication managementCollaborate as a member of a multi-disciplinary integrated team for the development and delivery of treatment plansFoster excellent provider-patient alliances and coordinate care with external providersParticipate in enriching the training experience of our graduate studentsMaintain accurate and up-to-date electronic records (Athena) and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirementsRequired Qualifications: Clear and active Psychiatrist License (MD/DO) in state of practiceBoard-Eligible or Board-Certified in state of practiceObtain the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) RegistrationCan commute to the location at least 3 days each weekPreferred Qualifications: 2+ years of Behavioral Health experience in an outpatient clinical settingExperience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)Expertise in treating children, adolescents, and familiesKnowledge of TMSKnowledge of Magventure chair (if applicable)Knowledge of Spravato (if applicable)Diversity creates a healthier atmosphere: OptumCare is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action employers and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, protected veteran status, disability status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law.
