Our mission is to provide top-notch care, and we're on the lookout for an experienced pet sitter to join our family who is interested in learning Management skills. Positions Available: Pet Sitter available for at least 4 hours between 7-1pm on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, AND SundaysPet Sitter available for at least 5 hours between 7-3pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays, AND SundaysPet Sitter available for at least 2 hours in the morning (between 7-10am) and 2 hours in the early evening (between 4-7pm or 5-8pm) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, AND SundaysTeam Leader Responsibilities and Requirements: Experience: Have at least 1 year of professional dog walking experience working for a pet care company or 2 years of experience working in a customer service field or having management experience.Physical Ability: Be able to walk big and small dogs for up to 5-6 miles per day and pick up 40-50 pounds (a dog or pet food bag).Weather Warrior: Be prepared to conquer all New England weather conditions, from rain and wind to sleet and snow. You'll walk dogs for 15 minutes up to an hour at a time, covering up to 6 miles per day.Pet Care Duties: Be comfortable feeding animals a variety of food, picking up dog poop, scooping cat litter, cleaning litter boxes, picking up vomit, and any other pet care duties the owner has requested.Tech-Savvy: Be comfortable using technology and updating Pet Care profiles in our scheduling software to include clear directions on the location of materials, how to feed animals, administer medication, scoop cat litter, clean litter boxes, temperament, helpful strategies to make visits go smoothly, and any other pet care duty the owner has requested.Scheduling & Supervision: Be comfortable scheduling services and changing schedules when the Pet Care Manager is unavailable, interviewing potential new hires, monitoring visits, training, and supervising staff.Business Projects: Be comfortable completing any other business-related projects (creating social media graphics, holiday cards, birthday cards, bereavement cards, etc.).Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, as you'll be in direct contact with clients and our Pet Care Manager. Respond promptly and efficiently to all inquiries from our team.Organizational Skills: Must be extremely organized, dependable, self-motivated, and have a positive attitude. Following a schedule provided by the Pet Care Manager is essential.Animal Advocate: Give every pet your undivided attention and shower them with love during your assigned visit. You'll also provide pick-up and drop-off services for individual dog hikes, solo on-leash neighborhood walks, and group on-leash neighborhood walks.Safety First: Maintain control and ensure the safety of all animals under your watch. Security is paramount when visiting our clients' homes, and you'll be responsible for maintaining it.Clean and Green: Pick up and properly dispose of all pet waste during your visits, keeping the environment clean and safe.Daily Updates: After each visit, you'll provide a daily note in our scheduling app, complete with a photo to confirm services and update both the owner and Pawsitive Dawg about your visit.Compensation: Competitive compensation (depends on experience) paid weekly.
