Public Finance Associate – Chicago, Detroit, Houston, or Milwaukee
Our client is seeking an associate with 3-5 years of public finance experience to join the Finance Practice Group in the following offices:

This is a full-time, non-partner track position supporting a thriving public finance practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in bond counsel, lender's counsel, and disclosure counsel, along with exposure to working with state agencies, municipalities, and governmental entities. The practice focuses on Healthcare Finance, Economic Development, Housing, TIF and Special Assessment, Infrastructure, and Education.
Responsibilities: Work on public finance transactions representing borrowers, issuers, financial institutions, and credit and liquidity providersProvide counsel on various public finance matters, including tax, securities, UCC, and contract lawDraft and manage public finance documentsEngage in direct communication with partners and clientsManage matters efficiently, adhering to deadlines and high standardsPreferred Qualifications: 3-5 years of public finance experience, including bond counsel, lender's counsel, and disclosure counselExperience working with state agencies, municipalities, and governmental entitiesBasic understanding of tax, securities, UCC, and contract law in public financeLaw school course concentration in business law preferredStrong drafting, analytical, organizational, and matter management skillsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, while working under pressureRequired Skills & Attributes: Excellent academic credentialsPositive attitude with strong interpersonal skillsStrong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentA well-rounded, resourceful, and highly motivated associateEducation & Bar Admission: JD from an ABA-accredited law schoolActive member of the bar in the jurisdiction(s) where the candidate is admitted to practiceTimely admission to the bar in the office of hire jurisdiction is a condition of employmentCompensation & Benefits: Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits programApplication Instructions:
