Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Assistant to support our fast-paced purchasing department. In this role, you will assist with the administrative and clerical tasks essential to the procurement process, including tracking orders, managing vendor communications, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to multitask effectively to ensure seamless purchasing operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesWork in a fast-paced Purchasing/Supply Chain EnvironmentPrepare purchase orders, send purchase orders to suppliers after approval, and keep track of purchase ordersFollow up to ensure that purchases are delivered on schedule and meet the purchase order specificationsRespond to employee and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, and cancellationsContact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveriesKeep ERP system (Business Central) up to date with Purchase Order related details, ETS, ETA, Shipment tracking, etc.Maintain documentation in the system in dedicated folders of all transactions and records requiredProvide administrative support to Manager/Team Members of the Department as neededQualificationsExperience in Purchasing/Supply Chain field is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational and administrative skillsStrong proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, TeamsREMA TIP TOP is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
