As the Purchasing Manager, you'll drive strategic sourcing of materials and services to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement. Your expertise in supply chain planning, logistics, vendor management, and continuous improvement will be crucial for maximizing production efficiency and product quality. RESPONSIBILITIES: Supply Chain Planning: Develop and execute strategies aligned with production demands and customer needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast demand and align product needs. Procurement and Vendor Management: Source raw materials, supplies, and services through competitive sourcing and contract negotiations. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate favorable terms, and monitor performance. Inventory Management: Implement lean tactics to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs. Conduct assessments to identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory. Logistics and Distribution: Coordinate efficient transportation of goods from facilities to distribution centers and customers. Work with customs brokers for proper importation of products. Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the supply chain. Address quality issues, prevent reoccurrences, and facilitate resolutions. Continuous Improvement: Leverage data analytics and best practices to enhance supply chain performance continuously. Apply improvement methods to internal processes and with key suppliers. Risk Management: Identify potential disruptions and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies. Monitor external factors that may impact the supply chain. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5 years of purchasing/procurement experience in the textile industry or manufacturing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain software.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management. BENEFITS & COMPENSATION: Salary: $95-110k commensurate on experience Performance Bonus: Eligibility for a 10% bonus based on achieving mutually agreed-upon KPIs, exceeding goals, and overall performance. Bonuses are paid quarterly and discretionary. Bonus eligibility begins immediately and will be reviewed annually. Health Insurance: Portion of HSA plan premium covered by the company. Allowance given for an HSA savings account. Portion of Dental and Vision premiums covered. 401(k): 100% match of 3% base pay contribution, regardless of employee contribution. Life Insurance: $25,000 term life covered by us. LTD/AD&D: 60% of base pay up to $11K/month covered. Additional Benefits Available: STD (Short term) insurance, supplemental life insurance, critical illness/accident insurance (at employee's expense). PTO: 3 weeks plus holidays. Additional PTO days added annually.
