Python Full Stack Engineer

This position is hybrid and requires 2-3 days per week in the Lake Mary, FL office.
It is a full-time, salaried position and is not open to C2C or other contracts.
\n ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain high-performance Python applications.Write reusable, testable, and efficient code following best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Develop and maintain RESTful APIs or other web services.Design and implement highly scalable document-based data models in MongoDB, ensuring optimal performance and storage efficiency.Utilize MongoDB features such as aggregation pipelines, indexing strategies, and replica sets to optimize data retrieval and write performance.Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and system tests to ensure code quality of the code.Drive the development process through TDD, writing unit and integration tests before writing functional code to ensure high-quality, maintainable software.Identify and fix bugs in existing software to maintain functionality and performance.Perform code reviews and participate in peer code reviews to maintain high coding standards.Optimize the performance of applications, focusing on speed, scalability, and reliability.Work closely with other developers, data scientists, product managers, and stakeholders to meet project goals.Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.Document software design and code effectively for future maintenance and updates.Proactively identify areas for improvement in the codebase and recommend solutions. Required Experience5+ years' experience in large distributed systems organization with proficiency in Python and Angular3+ years of hands-on experience with databases such as SQL and/or MongoDBProficiency in version control systems, particularly Git.Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven programming inPython using tools such as Kafka.Demonstrated experience in microservices architectureFamiliarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices to deliver high-quality, maintainable code.Ability to learn new technologies quickly, applying them effectively to new projects.Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field Preferred ExperienceConsulting experienceExperience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI.Financial services experience
