JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for QC/QA activities to ensure highest level of quality, safety, compliance, productivity and efficiency. Able to communicate expectations clearly and train employees on the newest quality standards. Responsible for reporting, monitoring, tracking and keeping of quality processes across manufacturing process. Abilty to resolve any issues with internal and external customers. Collaborate with internal and external customers on Global sustainability reporting. Areas of focus are: Manufactured Goods, Received/Shipped Goods, Company/OEM/Government requests (OSHA, ISO, RoHS, RoHS2, Conflict Minerals, Sustainability), and OEM Quality Business Reviews (Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain a quality plan to bring the Company's Quality Systems and Policies into Compliance with Global Quality requirements. 2. Supervising the day-to-day activities of the QC/QA staff including hiring, training, performance evaluation, etc. 3. Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, executed, and evaluated on an on-going basis. 4. Ensure quality processes and procedures are followed. 5. Establishing and maintaining documented procedure for quality system (SOP). 6. Maintain the company's quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes, and finished goods. 7. Assessing the product specifications of the company and its suppliers and comparing them with customer requirements. 8. Ensure safety protocols are followed. 9. Work with purchasing staff to set quality metrics and requirements from external suppliers. 10. Meet with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and purchasing staff to review quality issues as needed. 11. Prepare for and represent the company during all SPEAR, ISO types, UL, and other related audits. 12. Coordinate and approve all sample submissions of new products and engineering changes. 13. Prepare all necessary reports (NCR/CAR/PAR/SCAR) as required to support internal and external customers/suppliers. 14. Ability to identify areas of improvement. 15. Lean manufacturing – quality at source, wastes of lean manufacturing. 16. Root cause and effect analysis and continuous improvement. 17. Other various duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: · Requires an Associate or B.A. in an applied science or engineering field. · 3-5 years prior experience in QA/QC for Consumer or OEM product manufacturer preferred. · 2+ years in a leadership role required. · ASQ certifications a plus. · Demonstrated experience working with Contract Manufacturers, Suppliers, and Distributors. · Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). · Must be proficient in reading and interpreting product blueprints. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: · Hands-on experience with an ERP system is required. · Familiarity with regulatory standards (industry standards) and compliance requirements- OSHA, UL, CE, REACH, PFA, Conflict Mineral requirements a plus. · Must have good oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and organization abilities.
