As a Quality Control Technician you will be working with the newest tech on the market and in some instances, you'll see it before it even hits the market.  The Quality Control Technician systematically monitors and evaluates various products and is focused on maximizing the probability that product standards are being met and exceeded by performing inspections, testing and communicating effectively with stakeholders across the team.  These results are to be published in efforts to continually increase quality. \n ResponsibilitiesReview and make appropriate decisions based on workloadVerify product in accordance with documentation, AHEAD Method, AHEAD Defaults, and customer's defined requirementsPerforms routine inspections of electronic sub-assemblies, cable, and hardware assembliesDocument deviations from process, product, form, fit and or functionEffectively communicate the deviation, how the deviation was identified and the resolution of the deviationResolve minor deviations before moving the product to the next stageSharing work experience in a friendly and professional mannerCreate product or process standards where none exists in conjunction with respective departmentsEnsure process and product amendments are captured in appropriate documentationLearn new or custom product standards and their conformance to our processEnsure product adherence to established standards of strength, quality, and endurancePerform testing of completed products using provided test equipment and softwareOperating mechanical and electrical test equipment to check apparatus for conformance to standard requirementsCollect data and put into tables and charts (metrics)Maintain Internal Diagnostics programs in conjunction with respective departmentsAssist with Training of new team membersContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed QualificationsA high-school diploma or GED, or an additional three years of related on-the-job experienceTwo years of on-the-job experience in mechanical inspection or a related fieldTwo years working knowledge of computer hardware or networkingRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsAbility to work in a team environmentEffective interpersonal oral and written communication skills a mustAbility to lift up to 50 lbsDetail and process orientedContinued interest in new technologies and willingness to learnStrong problem-solving skillsAdherence to AHEAD core values, quality, respect, integrity, innovation, professionalism and passion
