Position Summary: Plan, direct, and coordinate quality assurance programs necessary to manufacture and package dietary supplements.The Quality Coordinator will coordinate various key Quality and Food Safety programs, including Pest Control, Quality Investigations, and other important projects related to food safety.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Coordinates QA Programs to ensure GMP compliance for 21 CFR part 117 and 111.Maintain quality programs including, Pest Control and Hard Plastic Programs.Work with 3rd parties to maintain various certifications, Kosher, Halal, Gluten-Free etc.Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits.Responsible for documenting, tracking and trending including customer complaints, root cause analysis.As necessary, thoroughly review complete and/or prepare Quality documentation and dispositions, verifies accuracy and completeness.Coordinates product returns and facilitates documentation for product returns including customer complaints.Perform and/or coordinate completion of environmental monitoring and documentation including collection of Environmental Monitoring samples as necessary.Write, revise and review SOPs, work instructions as needed for department.Work with and support Production, R&D, Sales, Purchasing and Quality Management to resolve issues internally.Coordinate outside services including pest control.Conduct employee training in Quality processes, procedures, standards and safety procedures or assign employee training to experienced workers.Provide information or indication of problems to Management.Develops and/or writes reports and supports the investigative process.Minimum Qualifications: Mathematical Skills - Accuracy with arithmetic, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, percentages, fractions, and algebra.Language Skills - Must be able to communicate complex concepts in English, verbally and in writing.Computer Skills - Must be able to use Microsoft Office, operate inventory software, time keeping or other business-related software.Education - degree in Food Science or a Technical field or have equivalent field experience.Disclaimer: Compensation reflective of candidate's experience.
