Responsibilities: Assess the quality of incoming materials/labels/finished goods to ensure they meet specifications and coincide with COAs. Ensure the COAs comply with Patco Brands Requirements for all finished goods samples. Review and Investigate Customer Claims related to MPL Brands Goods. Facilitate Raw Material and Finished Good shelf-life evaluations as needed. Participate in other sensory evaluations as required. Conduct product analysis on retention samples and maintain records of result data. Demonstrate adherence to TTB and FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), OSHA standards, SQF, BRC, FSSC2200, and HACCP principles. Complete and Assist the Director of Quality with on-site Contract Manufacturing Audits as needed. Participate in cross-functional launch teams as a Quality expert advising on Contract manufacturing site selection, product design, and specification development. Attending first production runs as needed to ensure MPL Brands finished product-testing requirements are carried out. Coordinate quality-related functions for contract manufacturers, such as specification sheets, quality agreements, non-conformance resolutions, and sampling needs. Coordinate sample retrievals, testing needs, and other functions as needed to ensure product quality is reviewed and exemptional. Perform duties assigned by the Director of Quality. Assist in quality-related KPI tracking metrics as directed by the Director of Quality. The Ideal Candidate: Has a positive attitude. Accepts responsibility for actions taken. Requirements: Proficient in MS Office applications Basic math and problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail HACCP, PCQI, and Internal Audit certified a plus. Knowledge of GFSI programs and related experience is a plus. Knowledge of TTB guidelines is a plus. Knowledge of NetSuite is a plus. Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment. Ability to use a collaborative approach to accomplish work goals and develop relationships within the team by listening, sharing, and appreciating other's ideas. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. A bachelor's degree in food science or a related field OR equivalent experience is required. 2-5 years of experience in QA, Food Safety, or a related field.
