Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsResponsible for assisting in the overall coordination of the Medical Staff/Hospital-wide Performance Improvement activities.
Maintains records and Performance Improvement documentation to support credentialing.
Assists with the coordination of Hospital-wide PI Teams.Collects, aggregates, displays and conducts first level analysis of data obtained from the monitoring and evaluation process.Appropriately refers cases and concerns to physician reviewers for further evaluation.Communicates with Medical Staff/Department Chairperson(s) regarding the findings of the quality assessment and to the committee/ department meetings.Prepares monitoring and evaluation reports for Medical and Surgical Review Committees.Monitors quality/quantity indicators per criteria.Analyzes data for trends of improvement and/or areas of concern.Maintains mechanism to follow-up on areas of concern.Works with outside agencies in the review of patients' quality of care issues.Responds to PRO issues as requested and within requested time period.s patients' record as requested for PRO/QA issues and assists physicians in responding to the PRO.Implements new JCAHO changes in Performance Improvement standards.Designs methodology for tracking review of physicians and/or issues as requested by committee or department chairpersonMaintains statistics of review functions and follow-up reports.Initiates and prepares the agenda for chairperson at least 24 hours prior to meeting.Completes writing minutes within 10 days of meeting.Prepares committee meetings correspondence within 5 working days and maintains follow-up as needed.Complies with the Medical Record Department's procedures in requesting and returning records for retrospective reviewCommunicates to supervisor and/or physician advisors problem issues or potential problem cases within 24 hours.Maintains Performance Improvement reports and abstracts of reviews for the Quality Management Department.Assists in training and/or cross-training employees as requested with report to supervisor as to progress of assigned employee time assignment.Assists with providing education to hospital staff on Performance Improvement.Participates in CQI teams as requested as team member, facilitator, or team leader.Assists with the QI Orientation Education to employees.Acts in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the Quality Management Director for both the Quality Management Department and Medical Staff Services.What qualifications you will need:RN license preferredBachelors degree or above requiredHospital Quality experience preferred2-3 years experience in the medical field required HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is located in west Miami-Dade County.
