The Quality Director is responsible for the performance and continuous improvement of the quality portion of the Integrated Management System. The incoming will oversee a team of dedicated professionals within the Quality Department and will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the most effective procedures to optimize the Quality System Management. This is a key role aligning quality goals with business objectives and managing quality certifications and audits. In addition, other tasks may be assigned by the Global Director of Manufacturing Operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Essential functions:
Oversee the Technical Labs and ensure customer requirements are met, and concerns are resolved in a timely manner.
Coach and mentor Quality Assurance staff and ensure assigned training is completed on time.
Ensure customer concerns and other quality issues are presented at monthly management meetings and provide root cause findings and corrective action plans.
Ensure customer needs are represented when setting quality objectives for new or changed
products.
Promote continuous improvement of all quality & process metrics and prepare documentation in the Integrated Management System.
Conduct Annual Quality Planning and submit to LG Chem headquarters as required.
Calculate and submit Quality Department KPI's such as Process Improvement Studies and report findings as well as corrective action plans.
Initiate continuous improvement actions whenever a key metric is not meeting or exceeding an annual performance record
Audit Coordinator:
Oversee entire audit plan inclusive of:Scheduling and participating in audits
Overseeing the approval and maintenance of internal audit system documentation
Preparing and communicating internal audit findings for Management Review on a monthly basis
Prepare performance results and provide recommendations addressing corrective action plans
Train specific Team Members in internal auditing techniques.
Control and maintain all Internal Quality Audit System records

Education

Experience:
3 years of experience in a decision-making position regarding quality, customer requirements and quality standards
