The Quality Engineer is responsible for performing various quality analysis and steering improvements as directed by the Quality Management. In this position, the individual must maintain a professional appearance and attitude and be able to communicate at all levels of business.
Essential FunctionsConduct Manufacturing process reviewsData mining from the quality and manufacturing computer systemsCreate and Conduct First Article InspectionsInvestigate problems, analyzes quality data, reviews nonconformance for accuracyWork closely as a management liaison to production and engineering in regards to RCCA and COPQReview specifications and customer requirementsLead investigation activities for Corrective Actions to fix the root causeSteer Root Cause and Corrective Action presentationsTeam player to Identify Risk and be part of the Risk Management teamProcess procedures, work instructions and forms, as necessary.Attend Internal Auditor's monthly meeting and conduct Internal Audits, as per the scheduleCandidate RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering is preferred5-10 years of quality or engineering experience is preferredFamiliar with Quality Management SystemsPhysically capable of inspecting product discoloringDemonstrate a positive, proactive, and motivated attitude to work, quality, and safetyPhysically capable of working with hands and maneuvering through a shop environmentSupport overall effectiveness of the business by modeling behaviors consistent with company values
