Support a comprehensive quality management system in accordance with AS9100D and all applicable regulatory, statutory and customer requirements.
Lead a department of Quality personnel to assure effective and timely auditing of product.
Support all aspects of the Philadelphia value-added distribution operations with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: An undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business with related experience or a minimum of 5 or more years of related experience.Previous Supervisory experience is required.Current certification as an internal auditor (ISO9001, AS9100, TS16949) is preferred.Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.Strong, analytical, team player with the ability to motivate employees by way of example.Strong root cause analysis and investigative skills.Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work closely with employees with a wide spectrum of backgrounds and abilities.Ability to fluctuate schedule as deemed necessary by management or as requested.Ability to meet Near and Color Vision Requirements TECHNICAL and/or MANAGERIAL JOB COMPETENCIES: Strong computer skillsParticipate within the internal audit team.
Function as the Supervisor for the Quality staff within the Philadelphia value-added distribution facility.Goal setting, mentoring, and evaluating of personnel is expected.Provide back-up support in the Operations Manager's absence.Work closely with the Supplier Quality team in South Bend to support quarantine and containment of suspect product from our manufacturers.Provide support for direct customer interactions in the form of visits, audits, etc. ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support and maintain the quality management system within the Philadelphia value-added distribution facility.Continuously train and evaluate personnel to assure effectiveness of the department.Support failure analysis and corrective action on all customer complaints originating from product provided out of the Philadelphia value-added distribution processes.Support the hourly staff using a "Hands-On" approach.Support continuous improvement activities within the Philadelphia value-added distribution facility.PPAP/ FAIR preparation for products being provided from the Philadelphia value-added distribution facility.Promote QMS activities and requirements as directed by the Quality Manager.FOD Prevention Focal team member for the Philadelphia value-added distribution facility.Relay necessary quality related information to the Quality Manager or other groups as required.Responsible for the review and disposition of identified non-conforming material; based on use of defined workmanship standards, guidelines and direction provided from the Manufacturers, or direction provided by members of Management.Support and facilitate gage calibration activities within the Philadelphia value-added distribution facility; liaise with the Calibration Technician in South Bend for necessary actions.Support Management Review activities and reporting. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Manual lifting up to 35 lbs.
