This position reports toQuality Control Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesThe Quality Control Inspector will be required to verify quality work has been completed in functions such as incoming inspection, fabrication, assembly, casting, shipping and/or other areas as assigned.
Qualifications for the roleInspect and troubleshoot any defects or discrepancies in conformityAssist other QC Personnel, Operators, Assemblers, etc. when quality questions arisePerform inspections using measurement tooling (calipers, gauges, meters, etc.)Train other employees as well as participate in additional trainingInspect, examine, and observe for product or equipment defectsCross Training will be expected and requiredExperience in the use of various hand tools such as screwdriver crimpers, etc.Perform other related duties as assigned1 year of experience in manufacturing environment, assembly or casting preferredExperience using Microsoft Office Suite and other web applicationsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and other related technical drawings and modelsGood written and oral communication skillsAbility and willingness to climb ladders, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift heavy objectsUnderstand and carry out oral and written instructionsWork along as a member of a teamInitiative, teamwork, flexibility & attention to detailCandidates must already have work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the United StatesDesired experience in SAP and WindchillAbility to work with teams and deliver feedback to operators concerning identified issues1 year experience in qualityMore about usWe value people from different backgrounds.
