Quality Inspector - St Shift

JOB SUMMARY We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Quality Inspector. To be successful, the applicant should have excellent communication skills and must also possess strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You should be experienced in using measurement and test equipment (M&TE) and analyzing the results. The Quality Inspector will report to the Quality Control Manager and will work closely with inspectors, machinists, engineers, and management.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS High school diploma Preferred 2 years of applicable experience in a quality control role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment Experience with open setup inspection using calipers, micrometers, height gages and optical comparators Ability to read/interpret drawing specifications including geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 Keen observational skills and strong attention to detail Strong organizational skills and desire to keep work areas tidy Excellent communication skills Experience with Microsoft Office software is a plus Experience with the following items is desired, but not required: operation of Zeiss CMM with Calypso software, operation of Keyence vision systems, Zoller presetter CORE DUTIES Incoming inspection of product received from outside vendors Perform 1st article inspection to authorize machinists to start production Dimensional inspection of CNC machined products Assist in the implementation of Quality procedures
