Description
SCOPE & AUTHORITY
The scope of work shall include all Piney Flats site Quality System processes
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
•The Position reports to the Quality Supervisor
•Direct reports: None
LAB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Responsible for collecting QC lab samples per control plans.
•Prepare samples and conduct various physical testing per control plans in QC lab.
o Typical examples of instruments used for testing will include:
? Instron Tensile Tester
? Sieve Shaker
? Electrical Resistance
? Force Gauge
? Moving Die Rheometer
? Moisture Balance
? Mullen Burst
? Oil Testing
•Conducts testing to ensure product quality as assigned by Quality Manager•Assists in evaluation and resolution of customer complaints and returned material.
•Maintains inventories of materials needed for Quality Control testing.
•Maintains cleanliness of equipment, supplies, work area and calibrates equipment as needed.
•Makes written/verbal releases of tested materials to production or management, according to established quality control policies
•Compiles summaries of test results for inclusion in regular departmental reporting.
•Other projects and duties as assigned by Quality Supervisor or Quality Manager.
PRODUCTION RESPONSIBILITIES
•Assists in set-up or approve production gages per ISO Standards.
•Assists in auditing packaged material prior to shipment to ensure label is correct and packaging meets specs. Approves acceptable cartons.
•Mindful of cost reduction needs and contributes where possible without sacrificing quality.
•Assists in the collecting, measuring and recording data for Certificates of Conformance. Issues period rework report. (Scrap, Rework)
•Assists with final audit acceptance sampling per control plans on FLEX-SIL, ACE-SIL, CellForce, and Polyethylene material as it is produced. Assists with final audit acceptance sampling per control plans on FLEX-SIL, ACE-SIL, CellForce, and Polyethylene material as it is produced.
•Performs routine process Quality audits as assigned my QC Manager.

•Understand the importance of conformance to the environmental policy procedures and the requirements of the EMS.
•Understand the environmental impacts associated with their work activities and the environmental benefits of improved personal performance.
•Understand their role in achieving conformance with the environmental policy, relevant procedures, and the requirements of the EMS, including emergency preparedness and response
•Understand the potential consequences of deviation from specified operating procedures.
•Comply with all environmental, safety, and health rules, policies, and programs established by the company to the extent of training received.
•Immediately, report any accidents and releases to the Supervisor
•Recognize that adhering to job responsibilities and procedures regarding environmental, health, and safety is a condition of employment
Requirements
Education and Experience
Two Year Associate Degree (AS) along with Certified ASQ Quality Technician preferred, or High School Diploma/G.E.D, along with three (3) years relevant lab experience.
Physical Requirements
•Regularly required to stand for a period of time, walk routinely on the production floor as well as moving about in an office and laboratory environment.
•Frequently required to bend, reach and sit.
•Occasionally climbing, pulling/pushing, stooping/kneeling and twisting. Some physical lifting involved generally
