The Quality Manager is responsible to ensure that all company products and services meet quality standards. This includes understanding customer expectations and needs, outlining quality standards, and developing quality control processes.
Responsibilities:Manage and ensure all company safety policies are adhered to by all quality employees. Provide suggestions for ongoing improvements to the company safety program. Ensure all EH&S and OSHA standards are being followed and adhered to.Manage and ensure all company quality policies and procedures are adhered to by all hourly employees. This includes inspection procedures, nonconformance, rework, measurements verification, and customer requirements. Continually review and make ongoing improvements that increase product quality and customer satisfaction.Comply with ISO/AS9100 accreditation requirements and internal auditing schedule.Work with the supply chain department to establish quality requirements for new suppliers, audit supplier processes to reduce risk as it relates to quality & delivery, and maintain a monthly scorecard with key performance deliverables.Prepare and represent direct management review reports quarterly to the leadership team that addresses the performance of the overall quality systems, customer, supplier, and continual improvement.Ensure that the calibration process is effective and accurate to monitor all company-owned measurement devices and meets the acceptance tolerance range for Gage R&R.Ensure processes, documentation, and procedures utilized in quality are accurate, maintained, and followed. Ensure that personnel are trained on implemented processes and that they are efficient to meet the intended objectives.Maintain and achieve quality KPIs that reflect company goals, customer requirements, and a "0" defect culture.Implement a quality succession chart that provides quality employees with a roadmap/organizational chart for success and continued growth within the company.Drive lean standards to improve quality, reduce COPQ, and increase quality throughput.Implement and train to drive a root cause and continuous improvement culture.Experience and/or Educational Requirements:5 years of experience in Quality Control Engineering10 years of experience in the Precision Machining IndustryKnowledge of manufacturing and quality practicesExperience with quality improvement tools and techniques (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, 5 Whys, Fish Bone Analysis, etc.)Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, project management, and facilitation skillsFluent in GD&T in a machining environment (ASME Y14.5M)BS degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field is helpful, but not required. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
