Our client is seeking an experienced Class A Inspector to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal stamping and fabrication, extensive knowledge of ISO quality standards, and proven supervisory experience. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing quality assurance standards, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving operational excellence.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Quality Assurance Standards:**
+ Develop and maintain quality assurance standards by interpreting customer requirements and ensuring accuracy in prints and revision control.
+ Update and uphold the company quality manual, procedures, and work instructions in line with regulatory and company requirements.
+ **Customer Satisfaction:**
+ Professionally address and resolve customer quality issues to ensure satisfaction and maintain trust in products and services.
+ **Inspection and Compliance:**
+ Develop and manage inspection planning procedures, first article reports, inspection sheets, gauging requirements, and customer quality records.
+ Oversee incoming, in-process, outside processing, and final inspections to ensure all products meet recognized quality standards and specifications.
+ Ensure all materials and external process vendors comply with required quality standards.
+ **Calibration and Audits:**
+ Maintain and coordinate the calibration, maintenance, and storage of all gauges.
+ Conduct quality audits on products and processes as required to ensure compliance.
+ Act as the Management Representative for all ISO requirements.
+ **Coordination and Supervision:**
+ Collaborate with tooling personnel to ensure tools, fixtures, and gauges meet customer standards.
+ Work with production personnel to maintain consistent quality standards.
+ Supervise, evaluate, and motivate quality employees to meet quality and customer service standards.
+ Ensure assignments are completed and time is tracked accurately on work orders, maintenance, and production job sheets.
+ **Operational Efficiency:**
+ Maintain housekeeping standards according to company guidelines.
+ Stay updated on new technologies that could enhance operations and present recommendations for improvements.
+ Order or designate the ordering of necessary supplies to ensure smooth operation of the quality department.
+ **Strategic Goals:**
+ Set and present annual goals to support the quality department and overall company objectives.
+ Continuously improve and maintain all manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure quality output and operational efficiency.
+ **Miscellaneous:**
+ Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Fulfill senior inspector requirements.
+ At least 10 years of experience in the metal stamping/fabrication industries.
+ Minimum 7 years of experience with ISO quality standards.
+ At least 10 years of supervisory and/or management experience.
+ Comprehensive understanding of dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5m-1994).
+ Proficiency in metrology and gauge calibration.
+ Strong communication and writing skills in a team-based environment.
+ Proven organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
+ Advanced working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
+ Thorough understanding of manufacturing and quality processes related to the industry.
