Quality Manager
The function of Quality Manager is to provide the necessary planning, organization, direction, coordination, compliance, and control of the company quality system. The Quality Manager will oversee the employees in their department to help coach and direct activities for safe and efficient execution of jobs while ensuring quality is upheld and customer requirements are being met while managing costs.
A Qualified Candidate will be Responsible for: Directing the activities of the employees reporting to the position including scheduling, assigning, and monitoring their work while approving overtime as needed Recruiting and hiring, with the approval of the Plant Manager, train, evaluate, counsel technically, and discipline the employees reporting to this position Recommending purchases of materials, supplies, and equipment related to the operation of the shop and quality control Direct supervision for personnel reporting to this position with workload management, providing prioritization of tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met with maximum overall and individual productivity Serving as the company liaison to the local government QAR and the DCMA as well as the responsible person for all Government Furnished Material (GFM) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Completion of employee evaluation on all team members at least bi-annually while providing constant leadership and coaching including daily assessments and feedback On-going monitoring and evaluation of quality control methods and procedures to ensure positive trends in reducing scrap and improving first-time yield while meeting company and customer quality expectations Ensuring the effective processing of all inspection documentation, processes, programs, and recording to maintain the quality system Following, maintaining, and driving company policies and procedures to include training on emergency services and ability to coordinate with the teams effectively Job Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field** Prior leadership role preferred in a Manufacturing Quality environment Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards Knowledge of developing Quality Inspection procedures using precision measuring devices such as CMM Computer literacy at a level of competence to be able to maintain employee records, update necessary production reports, and navigate through companies ERP system*** Important to Know: Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship Full time position with benefits package Competitive Compensation and Benefits based on experience *** Resumes may be confidentially emailed to View email address on jobs.institutedata.com ***
