Valmet is currently looking for a Quality / Production Supervisor.
Our vision for this position is to lead and promote the development, implementation, execution, and continuous improvement of effective quality systems in addition to training and implementation of plant safety & environmental policies.
The Supervisor will be accountable for the process of continuous improvement as it applies to the Quality Management System (QMS), the Environmental Manage System (EMS), and the Health and Safety System (OHSAS).
Perform and maintain calibration systems of tools/equipment (in-house and external calibration service).
Maintains training program for in-plant procedures and divisional specifications.
Follow up with root cause analysis regarding customer complaints, time reporting errors, accidents, in-plant losses, and manufacturing overruns will ensure continuous improvements with our products and processes.

Expectations
To excel in the role you should have a solid understanding of the business environment.
You will balance a desire to support and work closely with customers along with your passion for development of cutting-edge products.
You will work with members of the production team to ensure that quality standards are being met, and proper procedures are followed throughout the process.
To succeed in this role you will need
A bachelor's or associate degree with at least five (5) years of Quality Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience, we welcome your application.
Quality Green/Black Belt Certification is also highly desirable, as well as proven experience with ISO9001, and OHSAS 18001, and EMS systems.
