Job Description This position is responsible for supporting the Quality department and promoting quality improvements through activities that may include but not necessarily limited to (1) Support Quality Engineers with coordinating and implementing projects. (2) Install and maintain shop floor workstations and equipment. (3) Recommend cost effective process procedures. (4) Execute test / validation protocols. (5) Collaborate with value stream and/or engineering staff to solve technical facilities and quality issues.
Job Duties Performs incoming or first article inspection. Creates supporting records and reports. Understand lot sampling per ANSI/ASQ Z1.4-2008. Perform final/sterile release of products. Perform in-process inspections. Perform label inspection. Perform DHR final review. Perform specified functional inspection tests. Participate in cross-functional teams to solve quality issues. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Assist co-workers with training of Quality standards and requirements. Operate and Program advanced measurement equipment for consistent inspection analysis. Facilitate training for Operators Supervisors and other employees on use of new inspection equipment and/or processes. Communicate inspection information to Operations and Quality personnel. Initiate NCR (nonconforming report) and/or coordinate MRB activities. Assist Quality Engineers in with data-gathering activities to support validations and/or studies. Support Quality Engineers with conducting process and equipment verification and validation. Able to conduct Quality Engineering studies and experiments. Participate and assist with dFMEA and pFMEA meetings. Must have working knowledge of quality metrics and statistical metrics i.e. population mean process capability and standard deviation. Must be able to complete basic charts using Microsoft tools. Must have an understanding of statistical tools and be able to identify outliers in data. Coach operations staff on Quality requirements. Initiate change orders to support Quality Engineering to maintain Quality documentation (Inspection instructions work instructions etc.). Assist Quality Engineers in writing new MPs/IPs for new processes. Provide cost effective process and procedure recommendations. Lead and support continuous improvement measures by providing technical information and reviewing processes as they are revised. Coordinate and/or Perform calibration activities. Facilitate quality initiatives/activities among departments and groups as needed. Perform/coordinate bioburden and microbial activities. Conduct and manage the quarterly bioburden audit requirements. Perform complaint investigation and record findings. Maintain acceptable standards for attendance and work overtime as needed. All other essential related duties as required. Job Qualifications Required: A 2-year Engineering or Technical degree and 4-6 years of related experience is required or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be detail-oriented. Must have knowledge and experience to operate the following inspection Tools: Calipers, Micrometer, Optical Comparator, CMM, Pin Gages, Microscope Must have the knowledge and experience to operate and program the following advanced measurement systems: Vision System, SmartScope Quality and Customer oriented. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Strong knowledge of development methodologies and problem solving skills. Must possess a high degree of personal organization and excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Intermediate to advance computer skills as required to perform job duties. Preferred: CQT certification Knowledge of ISO13485/FDA quality system regulations Experience in coordinating activities among departments or groups Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
