As a Quality Technician, you audit systems and processes as they relate to our Quality program.
You play a key role in assuring the Garland site achieves the highest quality performance.
We Offer Set Schedules : 12-hour shifts & a rotating 2-week standard schedule of 3 days, then 4 days is 15 working days a month as a full-time associate Stability & Growth: We follow a strong promote-from-within business practice and offer a stable job through current market uncertainty Peace of Mind: We've been in the community for 28 years & offer job stability through market uncertainty Comfort: Our food-grade facility is exceptionally clean & climate-controlled You Will Collect and analyze data from a wide variety of sources, including observation, measures, reports and other documents, to evaluate adherence to quality standards.
Report findings to department and site leaders regarding non-conformance and improvement opportunities focused on achieving quality, reliability, scrap and safety goals.
Maintain documentation of audit activities & findings.
Review & evaluate corrective action plans, working with teams to make any changes to strengthen the plan Utilize SAP hold system, as needed.
You Have High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Associate's degree is preferred.
A minimum of two (2) years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment Understanding of standard operating procedure (SOP) documents Knowledge of quality assurance principles and audit procedures Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Experience using ERP systems, with a preference for SAP Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills Ability to effectively communicate issues and solutions in a clear and professional manner Plastipak is an Equal Opportunity Employer In order to process your job application, Plastipak collects and stores the personal information that you submit via this website.
