Quantitative Researcher
BuckleighWilliams is working with a growing alternative asset manager to identify a talented Quantitative Researcher to join their team.
A niche energy focused asset manager, having built an AUM of $5B - with a particular focus on Oil & Gas and carbon friendly concerns.
Role Overview: As a Quantitative Researcher, you will play a key role in conducting thorough research and analysis to inform strategic investment decisions.
Collaborating closely with the investment team and the COO office, you will contribute to aligning strategies with business objectives and developing proprietary models and frameworks to evaluate emerging investment opportunities.
Responsibilities: Conduct quantitative research and analysis across public and private markets, incorporating this research into the firms body of data.
Lead special projects focused on building proprietary models and frameworks, such as carbon projects or geospatial data analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate alternative data sources and enhance investment decision-making processes.
Stay abreast of market trends and industry best practices to continuously enhance research methodologies.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Strong experience in quantitative research within the asset management industry.
Proficiency in Python Experience with R or Java is a plus.
Familiarity with machine learning and AI techniques applied to investment strategies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Compensation: Salary range: $175,000 - $200,000 base salary.
Bonus is based on both personal and company performance, 70%+ achievable over the past three years.
