Our client is a global chemical manufacturing company focusing on reliability products, coatings, and cleaners is eager to find a new R&D Chemist to join their growing organization!
Salary: 95-100k/yr.
Terms: Contract to Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
As an R&D Chemist, you will support the laboratory in development of formulations including lubricants and sealants.
What you will be doing:
Design experiments, prepare, apply, evaluate, and troubleshoot various lubricants, sealants and thread compounds, as well as create specifications and requirements in the industrial market
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of lab work and results
Present technical information and materials to peers inside and outside of the organization
Interact with peer chemists, technicians, field sales/service, manufacturing teams and customers
Work effectively in a collaborative team environment supporting current and future customers with their lubricant needs
Create and manage formulations and instructions based on lab and production batch data
Understanding of ASTM methods used for testing grease
Collaborate with QC team to have proper test specifications and methods.
What you bring to the company:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
2 year of grease formulation experience
Previous experience in formulation & laboratory processes
Understanding of industrial lubricants
