Description:
Candidate may preform any number of the tasks below in mock manufacturing setting that creates prototype batteries for Energizer in their R&D department. They will also be supporting tasks in the chemistry labs at Energizer
The main function of this candidate is to be an assistant to the R&D/ product development engineering team at Energizer. their day to day functions will be variable
Could be in a research lab, could be in a prototype production line helping with prototyping. Could be working with equipment running tests, could be filling out forms and documenting
working with metrology and imaging samples. cross sections of batteries to record images. (cutting the battery in half, imaging, and taking dimensions.)
Measuring, collecting & analyzing data, and providing real time results and feedback to engineers.
General office support, shipping samples, testing samples
Must wear proper laboratory PPE, could be a rare case to need to wear a respirator if they need any assistance in the silver oxide cell
Mixing materials using batch mixers.
Dispensing materials using hydraulic pumps.
Assembling final products using various pieces of production equipment.
Troubleshooting issues with lab equipment and working with team members to resolve issues.
Locating sources of problems by observation, locating and elevating causes of concern.
Completing required paperwork, documenting parts and material usage.
candidate will primarily be spuporting the hearing aide battery line, specialty cell, bring this candidate in under hearing aide battery support.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUST HAVEs:
MUST HAVE basic computer knowledge and navigation capability, must have experience with Microsoft office - word, excel, teams, and Outlook
MUST HAVE EITHER experience working in a laboratory, working on an R&D team, OR experience in batch mixing for a chemical manufacturing process. this can also come from their coursework.
MUST HAVE experience or coursework related to chemistry, sciences, mathematics, prefer a candidate who has an associates or has done some college coursework in a STEM filed (concerned about burnout if they are in school full time and at work)
MUST BE able to lift 30 lbs
MUST HAVE some knowledge of proper chemical handling safety procedures
MUST BE open to wearing a respirator, and if they have a large beard they need to be open to trimming that
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
experience working in a lab is strongly preferred
ability to interpret shop manuals, schematics, and work instructions
strong attention to detail
