We are looking for someone to join Umbra's Radar Processing Group as a Radar Software Engineer to aid in the development of processing RF data. As a Radar Software Engineer, your duties will include developing, implementing, and maintaining production quality SAR algorithms.
Key Responsibilities Develop and improve radar algorithms including: MTI, Passive RF, and SAR Write production quality software with unit and integration testing Support commercial and government teams in modeling, simulation, mission design, and systems analyses for current and future architecture Monitor, evaluate and improve production throughput for cost and timeliness efficiency Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related STEM field (such as electrical engineering, physics, or computer science)5 or more years experience signal / image processing development 5 or more years experience with Python's scientific stack: Numpy, Scipy, and Numba Experience with version control software such as Git Excellent communications skills, ability and desire to work collaboratively in a team environment, and willingness to learn new skills and technology Excited to share knowledge and experience across the engineering team Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced development environment Desired Qualifications Advanced degree in a relevant field Machine learning experience 10 or more years experience with Python's scientific stack: Numpy, Scipy, and Numba Strong software development background, C/C++, Rust, CUDA Significant background with SAR processing Benefits Flexible Time Off, Sick, Family & Medical Leave Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, LTD, STD (employer funded) Vol Life, Critical Illness, Accidental, Hospital Indemnity, Pet Insurance (employee funded)401k with 3% non-elective company contribution Stock Options Umbra is an Equal Opportunity Employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
