Position SummaryThe Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, Michigan State University, invites applications for a renewable faculty appointment in Radiation Oncology. The position is available at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, depending on qualifications and interests. The successful candidate will join an existing medical oncologist, dedicated medical oncology service nurses, a medical oncology service coordinator, and a radiation therapist.
The MSU Oncology Clinic is a state-of-the-art facility that provides comprehensive treatment of veterinary oncology patients and is staffed by board-certified specialists in various fields. It is fully equipped with advanced technology and offers a complete array of imaging and interventional modalities. Additional support services include primary care and a veterinary social work program.
The position is flexible in meeting different work arrangements and lifestyles. Responsibilities will include management of referral cases, supervision and clinical instruction of house officers and students, and a commitment to scholarly contributions in the candidate's area of expertise. Participation in the pre-clinical teaching curriculum and contributing to specialty service leadership are also available.
Minimum RequirementsApplicants must have a DVM/VMD (or equivalent degree) and be board-certified or board-eligible in veterinary oncology. Eligibility for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Michigan is required.
