Radiologic Technologist Float

RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging, is looking for a Float C-arm Technologist to join our team.  As a Float C-arm Technologist, you will operate C-arm and X-ray equipment in assigned modality(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes, assuring that services are provided to patients and referring specialists within professional standards at multiple centers within the market. This is a fulltime position working Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm (no call), includes weekend rotation. Will cross train in another modality in the future (willing to train in CT or MRI). This position has the option of working part-time (30-39 hours/week) in a 0.8 or 0.9 status.  
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
(80%) Patient Imaging

Performs routine and advanced procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats
Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination
Explains and prepares patients for procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
Adjusts scan parameters correctly and as needed
Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers
Converses with doctors, nurses, patients and family members as required
Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect themselves, their patients, and coworkers
Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

(15%) Imaging Support

Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
Participates in staff meetings with employee involvement
Assists in maintaining an updated radiographic protocol manual
Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise

(5%) Performs other duties as assigned
