Radiologic Technologist II - Diagnostic Imaging - Per DiemPosition Highlights: SIGN-ON BONUS: $1,000Location: EEH Health Center, Woodridge, ILFull Time/Part Time: Per DiemHours: As NeededWhat you will need: High School Diploma or GEDKnowledge of all current American College of Radiology(ACR)/JCAHO requirements in order to maintain compliance with all rules and regulationsIEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure or "notice of IEMA compliance and authorization to perform medical radiation"At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT(R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) certification (i.e., Certificate of Program Completion or a letter from the Radiology Program Director of the accredited school).Certificate of Completion or a letter from the Radiology Program Director from the Radiology School attended.Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red CrossA minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher, preferredPrior x-ray experience in a surgical environment, preferredWhat you will do: Operates a variety of radiology equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes as directed by the Radiologists, in accordance with established protocols. Assists physicians and other clinical staff with obtaining films, images, and other records using the Radiology PACS or hospital information systems. Explains procedure to patients, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects of job.
