Job Description - Radiology Tech II (******** ) Wythe County Community Hospital Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 and Relocation Assistance available for qualifying candidate.
Description: Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Conducts patient education as necessary. Administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols.
Reports to: Director of Imaging Services
Qualifications: Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Venipuncture skills.
Required License/Certification:
BLS within 30 days from date of hire.
ARRT(R) or equivalent certification, plus demonstrated competencies in another modality, such as CT, as documented on the job within 45 days of hire.
Minimum Education:
Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology/Ultrasound required.
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
Ability to accept on-call assignments for regularly scheduled shifts when acuity and/or census indicates need. Will be available to report to facility within 60 minutes of notification. This status will be determined by Department Director or Administrator on call.
