Senior Medical Science Liaisons (Sr. MSLs) are experienced MSLs, having spent time in an MSL role. They have proven success in building/maintaining external stakeholder relationships and delivering on projects. Sr. MSLs engage with healthcare professionals, institutions, and payers in a non-promotional manner using their prior scientific exchange expertise to quickly form partnerships to deliver on the medical strategy, capture and act upon field insights to improve patient pathways and outcomes.
Main Responsibilities: Senior MSL Role: Build relationships and establish networks with healthcare professionals, payers, and healthcare institutions.Mentor and coach MSLs on all aspects of the Scientific Engagement Model (SEM).Lead projects in the delivery of the field-based objectives described in the Country Medical Plan.Collate, analyze, and evaluate data in the Insights Generation process.Establish and nurture cross-functional partnerships with internal stakeholders.Contribute to evidence-generation activities supporting local needs for the clinical research unit.Comply with local and corporate compliance frameworks for external and internal interactions.Scientific Engagement and Exchange Build and develop enduring needs-based peer-to-peer relationships with healthcare professionals, payers, and institutions.Identify areas of mutual collaboration and contribute to strategic field medical engagement plans.Communicate benefits, risks, appropriate use, and clinical value of products accurately and fairly.Operate independently and support the team in navigating complex local healthcare environments.Insight Generation Supply data, facts, and observations for the Insights Generation process.Generate and share actionable insights in a timely manner.Internal Collaboration Work closely with office-based and field-based medical teams.Lead projects and hold others accountable to deliver results.Develop and maintain an internal stakeholder network.Provide scientific support for internal functions such as commercial and regulatory.Supporting Evidence Generation Engage with clinical investigators to support company-sponsored trials.Support investigator-sponsored studies within compliance standards.Support Real World Evidence development according to local needs.Leadership Support the MSL Manager in coaching and mentoring the team.Project Management Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and complete complex medical projects.Training/Compliance Complete all MSL SOP trainings and corporate compliance trainings.Complete the MSL onboarding program.Commit to applying the Scientific Engagement Model.Continue to develop technical therapy area and soft skills.Create an individual development plan aligned with career aspirations.About You Required Education, Experience and Training Minimum 3 years' customer-facing medical experience (required for Senior MSL).Minimum 5 years' customer-facing medical experience (required for Executive MSL).Medical, pharmacy, or science degree (required).Fluency in spoken and written business English (highly regarded).In-depth knowledge of the disease state and relevant products (highly preferred).Proven communication and presentation skills (required).Demonstrated success in project management and mentoring MSLs (required).Why Choose Us? The salary range for this position is $140,250.00 - $187,000.00 USD Annually. All compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience.
