Job Title: Rave! Catering Waitstaff, Tier 2 Campus Enterprises Mission: Campus Enterprises is NC State's lead division of retail and hospitality organizations. Each department is dedicated to providing service excellence, value and enrichment of the student experience in support of academic success. Purpose: NC State Students Centers and Rave! Catering work together to create a memorable experience for all students, guests and alumni here at NC State. We strive to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for the NC State community. Location: Varies depending on event location (any building on campus) Work Schedule: Event-based shift work; 4-20 hours per week. Includes nights and weekends and annual mandatory events Starting Wage: $10.75/hr (Tier 2) with opportunity for raises based on years of service within Campus Enterprises. This includes but not limited to: Arriving on time for shiftsHaving on a complete uniformClocking in and clocking out in a timely fashionCell phones are only used at appropriate timesPrioritize the clientFinish all duties before taking a breakEssential functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide a superior level of customer serviceAble to work smaller events without supervisionProperly manage time to set up event spaces with table linens, silverware, glassware, and other catering equipment by event start timeBreak down equipment immediately following eventMaintain and replenish food and beverage needs throughout eventTake initiative to work independently and coordinate with catering team as neededUse problem solving skills to provide accommodations for clients in a fast-paced settingPerform minor housekeeping dutiesMaintain a high level of professionalism at all timesRemain in compliance with RAVE! Catering student employee policies and expectations at all timesPerform other duties or side work as assigned by catering coordinatorsEssential Qualifications Current NC State University student with a flexible scheduleExperience as a Tier 1 WaitstaffAbility to handle meat, dairy and various foods either with or without glovesDemonstrate excellent customer service skillsAbility to carry, push, pull, and roll up to 40 poundsAbility to work with a teamElevated oral and written communication skillsMust attend mandatory staff meetings, student employee orientation and training sessionsSkill Development Working as a member of the Rave!
