What You'll Do

The Real Estate Lending Systems Specialist is responsible for supporting the real estate loan origination system, including integration points, other systems, platforms and applications (real estate lending systems) utilized in the real estate lending loan origination and operations process.
This includes analyzing technical requirements, implementing and maintaining systems through their respective lifecycles and also maintain updated policies.
Responsible for configuring and executing application changes, generating plug-ins for performance and speed.
Make recommendations on software acquisition or updates.
Deploying system changes and optimization.
Review all system releases notes and work with management to make any needed system or process-flow changes.


Where you will have an impact Manage any system enhancements through testing of new functionality, deployment to production environment, and communication to end users.
This position provides project support for real estate lending related strategic projects, system upgrades, and the integration of these business systems and various vendor business systems in order to effectively and efficiently use our real estate lending systems.
A key focus will be on supporting operational analysis, date updates, reporting, develop operational report and leveraging technology to promote efficiencies.
Knowledge of secondary market and investor delivery.
Maintain policies and procedures and support the Director of Mortgage Lending with updates and reports.
Maintains the integrity, performance, reliability and security of all the real estate lending systems.
This includes timely updates to system maintained and utilized data, actively reviewing new enhancements/features, coordinating releases/updates, and making recommendations regarding vendor/application direction and fit.
Function as subject matter expert on real estate systems to support design and configuration efforts.
Engage with end users and management to provide training and support to ensure maximum functionality and efficiency of system usage.
Collaborates with end users, analysts, peer system administrators, vendors and management in conceptualizing the development of new software integrations and applications by analyzing existing workflow and understanding current system challenges in order to meet operational needs in a cost-effective manner.
Supports development of technological solutions for processes and/or workflow by assisting in analysis and providing automation improvements.
Validates results by testing programs and participates in drafting new procedures.
Assists with solving organization information problems.
Apply project management methodology in creating and maintaining business requirements documentation, design, maintenance and implementation of future state processes, policies, and procedures.
Investigates and resolves application functionality issues.
Provides first level troubleshooting support for system issues and ancillary applications.
Modifies and/or adjusts system processes and parameters accordingly as appropriate to incorporate new features and/or resolve production issues, depending on the credit union needs and requests.
Performs appropriate research and testing for new business processes, or applications, to support the Mortgage and Home Equity lending areas.
Provides real estate lending system expertise to analyst Team and management to support development of required reporting and metrics.
What You Bring to the TableTwo to five years progressively responsible real estate lending systems administrator experience in the mortgage credit /financial services field.
Mortgage Industry Knowledge and/or experience required.
Must be technically proficient in various financial systems.
A college degree required in Finance, Management, Economics, MIS or another related field.
Directly related experience can be substituted for a college degree.
The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust.
Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an essential part of the job.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
This including the ability to interact effectively with systems vendor staff as well as technical and non-technical users at all levels.
Ability to provide explanations or instructions and respond to questions in one-on-one situations, in person, via e-mail and/or over the phone; present ideas and concepts clearly and concisely verbally and in writing; write reports, business correspondence and procedures for a diverse audience.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel, SQL basics, superior time management skills, detail orientation and the ability to multitask is required.
Must be comfortable working at the most granular levels of processes and documentation.
Must possess excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret problems and make recommendations based on diagnostics.
In Addition will need to identify cause and effect relationships and evaluate risk vs. potential return, to adapt to unique situations.
Knowledge of real estate lending loan programs, products, policies and guidelines including compliance requirements related to fees and TRID is highly desired.
