ResponsibilitiesReview title commitments and underlying documents; prepare title summaries identifying title issues; confer with title agents, and underwriters to limit title requirements and exceptions as appropriate.Review surveys; prepare survey summaries identifying any survey inadequacies or title issues; confer with surveyors, title agents, and underwriters to correct survey inadequacies and limit survey exceptions included on title commitments.Prepare draft legal documents for attorney review and further modification, including without limitation, purchase and sale agreements, closing documents, and title objection letters.
Create and maintain contract critical dates lists.Assist in the processing of commercial real estate closings. QualificationsParalegal Certification requiredHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 5 years' experience in a real estate paralegal position within a law firm/corporate in-house/title insurance company; must have significant experience reviewing title and processing title for commercial real estate transactions; experience with residential development is a bonus, but not required.Excellent command of the English language; written and verbalExcellent grammar/spellingAttendance and punctuality imperativeStrong Microsoft Word and ExcelContacts Daily interaction with regional real estate attorneys, various division personnel, title companies, surveyors and outside attorneys.
Physical Requirements Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, lift, walk, move and/or carry equipment in excess of 20 pounds.
Must have finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard and calculator.

General Overview of Compensation: The *median base compensation for this position is estimated to be $37.25/an hour, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors including employee qualifications, geographic location, and operational considerations.

We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an hourly rate of $26.49 - $43, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.
