The core mission of the Receiving Manager is to facilitate the efficient and accurate receipt and storage of the materials used in the manufacturing processes. The Receiving Manager is an integral part of the production team and is required to have comprehensive knowledge about the material and understand the manufacturing workflow, while guiding a team. Duties & Responsibilities Maintain a calendar of incoming materials and developing plans for the off-loading of materials Accurately fulfill department requisitions and deliver parts throughout factory Responsible for material inspections Review purchase orders Ensure proper documentation of materials is complete Accurately follow material control procedures regarding material deliveries Responsible for material inventory and material storage Meet critical deadlines and schedules Perform general site clean-up and preparation tasks Move materials safely and effectively through the factory with the required equipment Crew Leadership and Coordination: Direct and oversee daily activities of crews to ensure quality of work done and accuracy in inventory tracking Assign tasks to workers based on skill set and workload to optimize productivity Effectively communicate with procurement staff, supervisors, and relevant production staff Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among crew members Other duties and responsibilities as required Safety: Takes responsibility for the safe execution of the work Uses JSA's Understands and participates in the Cardinal Rules of Safety Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times Requirements: Requirements High school diploma, general education degree or vocational degree 2+ years of experience operating a forklift Previous construction, warehouse, or manufacturing experience Strong organization skills and the ability to track, retain and integrate information Ability to confidently interface with all levels of company organization Fluent in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Excellent written communications, using correct grammar and spelling Qualifications Previous shipping and/or receiving experience Managerial experience Physical Requirements/Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Compensation $39.00 - $45.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
