Benchmark is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to receive all incoming parts or equipment, and prepare, pack, and ship machine parts and equipment to the end customer. This key role is responsible for all shipping and receiving functions within the Syteline ERP system as well as maintaining inventory cycle counts of parts and raw materials. The position reports to the Controller.
Responsibilities:Perform 3-way match by verifying quantities with the vendor packing slip with actual items delivered and then matching those items against the Benchmark PO before receiving the items in the ERP system.Pull part drawings after parts are received and take parts to QC department for inspection.Distribute purchased parts to corresponding project, parts order, or put into stock location.Assist the purchasing manager with any problem POs or items that were damaged before receiving the part.Bring all receiving documentation to the accounting department for processing.Assist in the pulling of parts from inventory for staging orders for processing.Compare packing slip against customer order and verify accuracy of shipment, making any needed corrections.Prepare records of shipment and bills of lading and ships packages via specified carrier.Insure carriers pick-up packages as scheduled.Bring all shipping documentation to the accounting department for processing.Create new inventory locations and then physically placing items into stock locations.Assist with cycle counts as well as full inventory counts.Work with purchasing manager to ensure adequate shipping supplies are kept on hand.Keep the shipping/receiving space clean and organized.Coordination and scheduling freight and system equipment pickup including BOL creation.Any other task requested by the supervisor.Who we're looking for?High School diploma or GED.Experience with operating a fork truck or other motorized lift equipment.Ability to pass and receive a fork truck license issued by Benchmark within first 30 days of employment.One-year experience in inventory control/stockroom and shipping, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with basic computer skills to utilize Syteline software, email, and Microsoft office.Ability to accurately complete detailed work including an ability to retain information such as numbers, descriptions, shipping instructions and other key items related to the job.Good verbal and written communication skills.Good organizational and math skills.Visual acuity sufficient to read and prepare packaging slips, shipping labels and maintain inventory records.Sufficient physical strength and agility to pack, unpack, and lift cartons, parts, equipment or materials weighing 50 pounds.Ability to work independently, handle multi-tasked role, maintain a positive attitude and work well with all levels of management and operators.What's in it for you?We offer an open, communicative environment that fosters individual initiative.
