Job Purpose: The Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract top talent to our school. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring that we have a talented and diverse workforce that aligns with our school's values and mission.
Position Requirements: The duties and responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Manager include, but are not limited to:
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent to the school, including teachers, administrative staff, and other key positions. Collaborate with department heads and managers to understand their staffing needs and develop recruitment plans to meet those needs. Utilize a variety of recruitment methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals, to attract candidates. Implement strategies to recruit and retain employees who will help support the school's mission for diversity, equity and inclusion. Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation. Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline for current and future staffing needs. Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions, professional organizations, search agencies and other sources of talent. Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Utilizes data analytics to provide recruitment and interview process guidance and screening tools to various constituents of the hiring process. Regularly researches and identifies new sources for active recruiting. Identifies opportunities to capture passive applicants. Regularly sources for top talent and actively engages with passive applicants to build talent pipelines for current and future openings. Curiosity about the particular experience and skills required of adults who will work with adolescents in a boarding environment and the ability to screen carefully for those. Develops systems to evaluate the effectiveness of systems and practices created to identify, recruit, onboard, and retain employees and adjust based on feedback. Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Human Resources. Minimum Desired Qualifications: Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and the Internet is required in all aspects of normal daily activities. Experience using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools. Position requires excellent attention to detail, confidentiality and ability to work in a diverse environment. Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and trends. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organization and time management skills to manage competing priorities. Ability to work efficiently and effectively while maintaining attention to detail. At least 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in the education sector. Bachelor's degree preferred. About The Taft School
