• Maintenance and processing of patient accounts• Analyzing patient data for reimbursement eligibility• Examine payer policies to minimize patient denials• Maximize reimbursement compensation and produce cost reports• Think critically and pay attention to detail• Utilize interpersonal skills• Experience with hospital acute care payer contracts is preferred
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent education• 2 years healthcare/collection experience or equivalent in a hospital setting• Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and patient accounting system• Demonstrated knowledge of insurance billing relating to patient reimbursement
