Job Title: Registered Radiologic Technologist - Diagnostic Imaging Job Specialty: Imaging Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day (Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm, Call every 3rd weekend: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Radiologic Technologist required License: Radiologic Technologist Certifications: ARRT Radiography, Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Excellent communication skills for frequent verbal and written interactions- Ability to explain procedures and provide directions- Capacity to function independently and under pressure in a team environment- Excellent customer service skills- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment- Professional interaction with all customers, including patients, families, coworkers, volunteers, and physicians- Compliance with all Hospital policies and procedures- Competence in Diagnostic Radiology, patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection- Understanding of anatomy and pathology for procedure quality Job Description: - Obtain complete clinical history and assess for contraindicating conditions.- Follow established procedures for administering contrast media.- Ensure proper patient identification and usage of right and left markers.- Review radiographic images for acceptable results and release patients.- Respond to emergency situations and maintain crash cart and life support equipment.- Assist other technologists when needed and observe patient condition.- Verify patient identifiers and correct clinical order before procedures.- Respect patient's privacy and comfort during procedures.- Use critical thinking skills and ask clarifying questions.- Demonstrate competency in appropriate procedures and techniques based on patient's age.- Follow physician's instructions during procedures and exams.- Adjust imaging techniques to minimize radiation exposure.- Report equipment malfunctions and maintain equipment cleanliness and function.- Clearly explain exams to patients to minimize anxiety and facilitate cooperation.- Participate in the orientation and training of departmental employees.- Consistently produce high-quality images and ensure all equipment is operational.- Restock linens and supplies to maintain a clean and orderly environment.- Perform patient charging activities and apply safety equipment during procedures.- Maintain individual productivity equal to coworkers and comply with regulations.- Perform other assigned duties and ensure compliance with relevant policies and codes of conduct.
