Regional Materials Manager

Auria is a leading global supplier of highly-engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions for gas and electric vehicles. With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,900 people worldwide. The Materials Manager will be responsible for leading the plant materials team and working with our customer base to ensure requirements are met. POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS (PSR): Evaluate current business processes and systemsPlan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiencyResponsible for the achievement of department/division/unit productivity and quality goalsDirects and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in purchasing and distributing materials and supplies in an organizationPlans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the materials functionUnderstands business implications of decisions; Displays orientation to profitability; Aligns work with strategic goalsDevelops strategies to achieve organizational goals; Understands organization's strengths & weaknesses; Identifies external threats and opportunitiesCommunicate with customers and suppliers regarding delivery, quantity shipped and purchased materialsEffectively manage inventory with accuracyWork closely with Manufacturing Operations and other departments concerning materials management and delivery performance.Provide support to department and operations after hours and on weekends as neededEducation: BS/BA requiredExperience: (5) five or more years' experience supervising in a manufacturing environment Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Priority setting and time managementAction oriented / produces resultsManages a broad functional areaExcellent computer skills including use of Microsoft Excel and WordAbility to read, write and perform non-complex mathematical calculationsMust be a team player having excellent communication, organization, negotiation and interpersonal skills as well as analytical skillsMust be able to function in a fast pace and high demanding environmentAbility to pay attention to detail, multi-task and follow direction
