Regional Membership Sales & Retention Account Executive (SRAE) Location Hybrid remote in Norfolk, VA : Regional Membership Sales & Retention Account Executive Position is Hybrid with office location in Norfolk, VA (80% remote with local travel and 20% in office) Retail Alliance is a regional trade association based in Norfolk, VA. Our mission is to champion individual success of retailers through education, advocacy, and connections. We are currently seeking a candidate for the position of Regional Membership Sales & Retention Account Executive. This position will serve the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. This role is an integral part of our mission and is responsible for the retention and recruitment of membership and often works closely with our communications and events teams giving support when needed.

About the ideal candidate:
Strong Sales/Relationship building experience. Ability to map out a sales and retention strategy. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail. Motivated by mission. Exceptional oral and written communication skills An outgoing personality that is not afraid of cold calling. Is self-motivated and works autonomously but also works well with a small team of skilled and dedicated co-workers. Former retailers or knowledge of the retail sector is a strong plus! Duties and Responsibilities: Within the limits of authorized Company policies, procedures, programs and budgets, the Regional Membership Sales & Retention Account Executive has the following duties and responsibilities:
1. Membership Sales and Retention - a. Develop a recruitment and retention strategy for membership.
b. Sales calls to potential members as well as retention calls for current membership.
c. Manage a regional database of members through our AMS system.
d. Meet or exceed sales goals set forth by the leadership of RA for membership quota and growth.
e. Read and research about the retail industry to grow knowledge base.
f. Engage as an integral part of the RA Team by attending team meetings, events, and participating in planning key strategies and initiatives.
2. Community Visibility a. Attend events and collaborate with other organizations / associations in the Hampton Roads community.
b. Help coordinate and support Retail Alliance events as well as represent Retail Alliance at other external events.
3. Duties a. Maintain up-to-date Membership Contacts in the AMS (Association Management System) database.
b. Respond in a timely manner to member feedback and requests.
c. To attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs and other events.
d. Submit weekly activity reports.
e. Work with other team members and departments to maximize benefits for members.
