Location: This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in Texas due to the travel requirements (30-50%) to visit partners across the state.
Who We Are: National Math Stars ensures mathematically extraordinary students from all communities have the resources they need to reach the frontiers of math and science. We recruit 2nd and 3rd grade students who show talent in STEM, yet face barriers in developing to their fullest potential. Once a student becomes a National Math Star, we work closely with them and their families over a 10-year journey, from elementary through high school, to provide them with extraordinary scholarships, individualized guidance, and mentoring to achieve exceptional outcomes.
Role Overview: As Regional Partnership Manager for National Math Stars, you will lead the recruitment of students from across your region. Your primary responsibility is to build and sustain strong partnerships with schools, districts, charter networks, and other educational organizations to identify and recruit exceptional applicants for our program. You will build awareness for National Math Stars across your region by attending conferences, regional presentations, district meetings, and school events. You will communicate regularly with partners and families to ensure that we meet our outreach goals for your region each year.
We anticipate the start date for this role to be in November, although we can be flexible for the right candidates. Although this is a remote position, candidates for this role must live in Texas.
Key Responsibilities: The Regional Partnership Manager's key responsibilities include:
1. Partnership Development and Management Form new partnerships with schools and districts across the state of Texas by networking with G/T Coordinators, Teachers, Principals, Superintendents, and more to cultivate referrals for National Math Stars applicants.Maintain and build upon existing partnerships with schools and districts across the state.
2. Marketing and Communications Research, register for, attend, present, and exhibit at conferences and conventions focused on STEM and G/T student populations.Develop and manage email marketing campaigns to increase awareness and interest in our program. Develop and run social media campaigns to boost awareness and interest in our program. Innovate and test new strategies to reach traditionally underrepresented families and communities. 3. Family Outreach and Communication Serve as a primary point of contact for parents, addressing inquiries about the program and guiding them through the application process.Engage directly with family and community groups to increase awareness of National Math Stars. 4. Selection and Admission Ensure all applicants from your region have completed the necessary steps in our selection process. Participate in the review, assessment, and selection of finalists and National Math Stars. Collaborate in refining admissions processes and criteria to more effectively engage and select our target families.
