Position Overview
This position has clear and distinct accountability for business results for an assigned territory (branch) or territories (multiple branches) within the Environmental Division.
This individual will be responsible for all aspects of portfolio management, including solicitation of submissions, underwriting analysis, preparing and issuing indications/quotations/binders, tracking pipeline, weekly forecasting of production, and support in preparation of annual budgets.
Essential Job Functions
This position has clear and distinct accountability for business results for an assigned book of business and in managing employees within the region Focuses on new business production, account retention of profitable renewals, and account management Manages components of development, growth and profitability for book of business and/or assigned territory and drives accountability for underwriting production goals Underwriting of general liability, site pollution, contractor pollution liability, professional liability, auto liability, workers comp and umbrella Pipeline tracking Forecasting/budgeting of production Tracking rate movements within book Tracking loss activity within book Producer development and management Travels to key markets/accounts and remains highly visible in the marketplace Manages staff including responsibility for performance, development and coaching of staff (i.e., performance reviews, salary increases etc.).
Job Requirements 4 year degree in engineering/science, business administration, or similar 8-years' experience within the liability underwriting discipline, pollution experience preferred 2-years' experience in a supervisory capacity Proven track record in managing an insurance portfolio Developed relationships with wholesale and retail brokers Presentations Excel, Word, Outlook
